First Response SA was created to help small business owners navigate one of the most frustrating parts of opening a commercial location: understanding what the City is asking for and getting the required documentation organized.
The gap we fill
There is a specific kind of business owner who gets stuck in this process, and it is not the one people design services for.
They are opening one location, not thirty. They leased an existing suite rather than building something new. Their project is genuinely straightforward, but nobody has documented the space and nobody has explained the process to them in language they can act on. They are too small to be interesting to a large firm and too real to be served by a marketplace that has never seen the building.
That is the gap. The work is not complicated. It is just that somebody has to actually go do it, locally, and then explain it clearly.
How we work
We start by reading what you were actually sent, before quoting anything. A meaningful share of these situations need less work than the owner feared, and finding that out costs you nothing.
If drawings are needed, a representative visits the property and captures the existing conditions on site. Those measurements then move into an efficient production workflow to become clean digital documentation. You get local accountability where it matters, on the measuring, without paying for office overhead where it does not.
Scope is agreed in writing before work begins. You know what you are buying and what it does not include.
What we are, precisely
First Response SA is a commercial permit coordination and documentation service. The work we perform is work that Texas law allows non-licensed persons to perform.
We do not describe ourselves as an architecture firm, an engineering firm, a registered architect or a professional engineer, because we are not those things and using those titles without authorization is not something we will do. When a project requires a Texas registered architect, engineer, licensed fire protection professional or other licensed specialist, we identify that requirement and tell you before doing work outside our scope.
Being clear about where we stop is not a weakness in the offer. It is the most useful thing a service like this can tell you, and you should be wary of any provider who claims no limits at all.

On that last point: at launch we do not display client testimonials, because we would rather show you none than show you invented ones. When real clients give us permission to publish what they said, we will.
